My first non-academic book, The Far Shore: Indie Games, Superbrothers, and the Making of Jett, was published by Coach House Books in 2021. It follows the eight-year-long development of a very ambitious videogame by three friends (and, later, a huge team). I put all my thinking about DIY, punk, zines, modernist little magazines, photocopiers, etc., into this book. Although neither the game nor the book made an enormous splash when they came out, the game (and the story of its development) is very interesting, and I'm proud of this book.
